Juice of the Week- Snickerdoodle Cookies

I know it's been a few weeks since I've posted but please bare with me during the holidays etc. I will be back in full reviewing force very soon. This weeks vape comes from Ms. T's Bakery which was recommended to me by several of my instagram followers as well as a friend of mine. I was never a huge fan of "baked goods" vapes but I thought, hey, give them a shot, maybe they'll be good. I originally ordered a few random bottles and she actually sent me 3 of her favorites for testing purposes so a big shout out to her for that, thanks Ms. T!

As I previously stated, I was never into vaping my baked goods but I have to say, this juice has completely changed my mind! It's sweet and cinnamony goodness all in vape juice form. Definitely a good choice to fill up a carto with this one before heading over to grandmas house for Christmas dinner. I prefer vaping this one at a higher voltage because then the vape is nice and warm just like snickerdoodles ought to be. It has a lovely sweet cookie inhale and a little cinnamon burn on the exhale, quite lovely if you ask me. I never thought I'd be into a dessert juice like this but, hey, sometimes you have to just try something to know if you like it or not!

Ms. T's will definitely be my go to for any "baked goods" vapes from now on.

**Currently Ms. T's site is down until she gets settled into her new home but should be back up soon. Trust me, it's worth the wait!**

Site Review- J-Vapes

I was recently given the chance to review several flavors from J-Vapes and of course I jumped at the opportunity. My instagram friend Max (aka @xxam_) recommended them to me and I contacted the owner, John, who offered to send me some juice for review. So in this blog I will rate all of those juices briefly and the site as a whole. I know you guys probably skip the whole first paragraph of all of my blogs anyways and jump straight into the review so, I'll shut up now and get to the good stuff!

Okay, so I've had plenty of time to let these juices steep and put them through their paces in a variety of devices so heres the scoop:

Bangberry Mist: ★ My personal favorite of the ones I received. A nice sweet berry flavor with a little touch of tart. This one was actually named by Max as a result of a contest the site ran. This one tastes very nice through pretty much any device, even my ce4's and Vivi Nova but my favorite is in my ProVari using a 2ohm carto at 4.5v.

Pineapple Express: ☆ Hmmm, I wonder what this one tastes like? Sweet pineapple with a heck of a kick! Maybe it's because I normally vape around 6mg of nic and these juices were 12mg but this one seems to roundhouse kick the back of my throat like Chuck Norris. Not saying that's a bad thing at all, just a mere observation. I've tried several pineapple flavors and this is by far the sweetest and strongest!

Guavatron: ☆ Not sure when the last time I had real guava but this juice tastes smooth and sweet just like it's supposed to. Every vape takes me away to a tropical paradise where ProVari's grow on trees and it rains Guavatron....ok maybe that was slightly embellished but this juice rocks! Bonus points for the cool name.

Baja Blast: ☆ I don't know about you all out there in cyberspace but sometimes I go to Taco Bell just for a Baja Blast. Citrusy sweet, fruity, refreshing vape all the way through. Personally, I'd love to see this one with a tiny hint of menthol in there to add a slight chill. I've seen many flavors based on the original citrus soda but never one for this flavor. Other juice vendors take note: get creative with your flavors and your patrons will notice!

High Voltage: ☆ One of their newest flavors in the "mountain vapor" line, this one is raspberry flavored with a nice tart finish. This one is definitely better after a few weeks of letting it steep. I'd like to see this one with a touch of menthol as well but not too much. I find myself rationing the last few ml's in the bottom of the bottle before finishing it off. This one is on my re-order list for sure.

Cherry Limeade: ☆ I have tried several versions of this notorious flavor and up until this point, no ones been able to satisfy my palette. This is the first cherry limeade I've tried that actually tasted sweet! Don't get me wrong, the sour/tart aftertaste you get will still pucker you up but that's the point isn't it? Even though it's the best I've, I think there's still a bit of fine tuning needed but I'm sure this flavor isn't easily duplicated in a vape so an A for effort.

The site itself is designed a little funky, instead of having individual pages for every flavor, they have a general description of a series of juices on a sub-page and the choices in a selector box at the top. One thing I do like is the option for 50/50 PG/VG with any juice. Personally, I like experimenting with different options so next time I order juices, I can try a different combo and possibly improve the flavor. I trusted John to mix me up a good batch of juices and he exceeded my expectations. Big shout out to him and Max for recommending them to me. If you know a company I should review, please comment below!

I look forward to trying a few more of J-Vapes' flavors, so check back soon for more

Accessory Review- Vision CE4 Clearomizer

I was very reluctant to try these at first because I've always been a carto tank fan but after seeing my instagram feed fill up with pictures of them, I thought I'd give them a try so I picked up a couple from Madvapes. Now if you didn't know, a cartomizer has a heating coil surrounded by fiber fill inside a metal cylinder, when you hit the button on your PV, it heats up the coil and vaporizes the e-liquid that is contained in the fiber fill. With a clearomizer, the liquid goes from the outer tank which is then absorbed through a wick into the atomizer and vaporizes the liquid. Now that the science lesson is over with, let's get to my take on these little devices.

I try to keep an open mind about everything before I try it, to be honest, I'm just trying to find the best kit to make my vaping experience more enjoyable, this blog is just a way to share my experiences with all of you. That being said, I was still a bit skeptical when I first tried them. I filled up my first one and took a drag, I instantly got a burnt taste, I was very disappointed. After doing further reading, I learned you should wait at least 5 minutes after filling before you should vape in order for the liquid to saturate the wick. A quick solution to the burnt taste if you've done this is emptying the clearo and cleaning it thoroughly. That kind of put me off to clearomizers for a while but I recently picked them up again on a whim. These worked out slightly better for me but there's still some issues with them that I don't have with carto tanks.

  • Leaking- A few drops out of the top or bottom is pretty common with the ones I've used. I've heard that you need to seal them within 30 seconds of filling in order to prevent this but it seems to be very sporadic.
  • Breaking- Considering you can pick these up for about $6, they're very rugged, however, if you have it in your pocket and bend over the wrong way, they will shatter on you. I've had one crack and one break off at the bottom thread skirt which was probably my fault for over tightening.
  • Burnt taste/lack of flavor- I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong but I always seem to get a tiny bit of burnt taste even after letting it sit for hours before vaping. Also, I've noticed the flavor which tasted great in a carto, seems to be slightly diluted when used in a clearo, not quite sure why on this one but I know a few other people feel the same way.
  • Resistance/voltage restriction- Others have told me I'm crazy but for some reason, on my eGo twist, I can't vape any higher than 4.0-4.2v. Personally, I love the amount of vapor that I get from a higher voltage but over 4.2v I seem to get a little burnt plastic taste. These are hard to get a good reading of resistance on too, the advertise 2.4-2.9ohm which actually makes quite the difference on a VV device.
  • Capacity- This is more of an observation than an actual flaw with them but I feel it should be noted. These are not meant to be an all day vaping accessory if you are a heavy vaper. They will hold about 1.8ml of juice which will last a lot longer than an atomizer and some cartos but wouldn't get me through a full day of vaping.
In summary, these have a lot of positive qualities, they're cheap, they fit well with an eGo and they look great. However, if you asked me clearo vs. a carto tank, I'd say go with the tank and learn how to punch and fill a carto than spend $6 every 8 fills or so.

First Impressions of Clone Blood & Unicorn Blood

These two came to me courtesy of Shane at Fuzion Vapor for testing purposes and review. Shane has always been good to me and all his loyal customers allowing them to try juices he makes before they're officially released on his website. If you ever have a question or a special request he quickly responds with a personalized message, unlike some other sites that have a 'ticket' system that takes days to get an answer from. Of these two juices, Unicorn Blood has been released on his site and Clone Blood is still in testing but I imagine it will be out very soon. Ever since my first Fuzion experience, I've been hooked. To this day I'm a dedicated "fuzionhead," the flavor combinations and vitamin B added really makes them worth their weigh in liquid gold! Please note; the following review is based on my opinions without letting either steep. I simply opened my vapemail and took a puff, I'm sure these juices will get even better after I let them sit for a few days.

Unicorn Blood
This one really reminds me of my first experience with my favorite juice of all time, XTC. After the first pull, I was hooked. About 10 minutes after taking the first puff, I had to order a 30ml because I knew this would soon be on my top 10 list. The best way I can describe this delightful flavor is pure Slushee syrup before they mix in the ice. Super sweet to the core with delightful hints of red berries and candy. It's perfect for a post Halloween vape, like taking all the fruity candy you have and shoving it in your mouth at the same time. The nearly sickly sweetness of this is my favorite part, as a candy junkie, I find this to serve as a great fix. In my order, I asked Shane to add a hint of menthol to my 30ml which should make it even more enjoyable for the fruit/menthol lover I am. While vaping this I kept thinking about the video of Charlie the Unicorn and his adventure to candy mountain. If you have an addictive personality, beware, this juice will have you wanting to hunt down the mythical beast and drain it of all its vital fluid!

*Not the official product photo
Clone Blood
As with many of the juices I try for review purposes, I first attempt to figure out what flavor the vendor is going for before I check the website to see what it's supposed to taste like. Unfortunately for me, this one is unreleased so I have no basis of comparison. So based on my own expertise and refined palette for vape juice, I found this one to have almost a nutty flavor with a hint of bourbon with a sweet and dry finish. After filling up my atty a few times, I decided to email Shane to give him my first impression and what I thought it tasted like. He then replied and said it's supposed to taste like similar to a juice from another vendor with a similar Star Wars referencing name. Everyone seems to love the flavor that this is based on but I have yet to try it. I'll give you a hint, it's a variation of a tobacco flavor that's full of bounty. I've had limited experience with tobacco flavors and the ones I have tried, I haven't enjoyed very much but this one has some very nice hints of sweetness to it and has a decent bite from the bourbon flavor. I look forward to seeing other peoples take on this one and I plan on purchasing the popular juice that this one is named after for comparison.

I'll let these sit for a while and report back with any changes in flavor and the final verdict on Clone Blood. Shane, if you're reading this, keep up the good work, We appreciate all your hard work, dedication and love of the vaping community. Thanks!

Juice of the Week- Guavatron

I have a lot of people who read my blog and follow me on instagram. If you've been living under a rock and don't know what instagram is, it's a photo sharing app for iPhone and Android devices. I take a lot of my followers advice on juice companies to try and this happens to be one from J-Vapes recommended to me by the user @xxam_ I contacted J-Vapes about trying out some products for review purposes and voila! Here's my take on this particular juice that I've been vaping lately.

I love a good fruity vape that doesn't taste bland or chemically and Guavatron definitely does not disappoint! The flavor is strong but not overbearing and it has a nice smooth throat hit and finish. I tested this one in my J-Tank (completely unrelated company but I thought it was only appropriate) using a 2.0 cartomizer. This one works at a many voltages producing loads of vapor from every one! some juices really stand out at a certain voltage but this one is strong from 3.7-4.5! You don't see too many vendors tackling these kinds of flavors and I'm glad someone had the courage to venture out of the traditional flavors. Of course, the name got me as well. I feel like a vaping, transforming robot when I take a big rip from my PV. I can't wait to try more of what J-Vapes has to offer, check out their website for their full list of flavors!

Guavatron is like taking a nice relaxing vacation on a tropical island even when its 30 degrees out in New England!

On a side note, I need your feedback! Please help me to be a better blogger. I need your questions/comments/criticism/suggestions. If you're having trouble with anything e-cig related, feel free to comment or email me: photoagogostudio@yahoo.com Thanks :)

Accessory Review- Phiniac Tank

When I first started vaping, I was perfectly content using a small 510 battery, atomizer and a drip tip. Dripping 3-4 drops every 8 or so pulls off it of it satisfied my needs…for about a month. After talking to a lot of people and seeing what was out there in the vaping world, I started becoming more and more curious to the mods and accessories that were available. First, I purchased an eGo-T 1000mah battery and 3ml Dual Coil Tank. Being ignorant to the fact that certain juice flavors can crack or damage plastic tanks, I filled it with a cinnamon flavor and the tank became pitted (juice ate away at the plastic.)  After much consideration, I acquired an Altsmoke Silver Bullet and Phiniac Tank and the rest is history.

Phiniac is a great company that is totally dedicated to quality and craftsmanship. They make hand blown glass and wood tanks of all kinds, shapes and colors. I watched the videos they have posted on youtube which are very informative and instilled the confidence I needed to purchase a pyrex glass tank knowing it would be durable. Upon recieving my tank, (plain glass, standard size) it came with heavy duty black metal caps, an extra set of O-rings and a small bag in a well packaged box. After watching the "how to" videos on YouTube of fitting the tank onto your cartomizer and filling it, it was quick and easy to pop it on and off by using a small amount of juice to sort of lube up the O-rings. The seal is very tight and doesn't pop off easily even if grabbed by the tank while attached to a Silver Bullet or ProVari. It is a bit difficult, however, to slide the tank up to fill it so I would recommend purchasing the tank filler tool they offer on their website. It also prevents wear and tear on your O-rings. So far, I've had no problems with my tank and plan on buying another in the future! I would highly recommend this tank to anyone who regularly enjoys the "trouble" flavors that normally crack plastic tanks such as cinnamon or banana  flavors. The tank sits beautifully on a Silver Bullet and gives it a very nice finished look to the PV. I know function over fashion but hey, why not have both if it's out there!

Juice of the Week- Strapple

Sorry I didn't post last week! I've been consumed by dealing with car issues, working on getting a new (used) one very soon which is awesome news for me after driving a P.o.S. for 5 years. Anyways, this weeks juice is easily not only one of my favorites but a best seller from Rawr vapor. It may not have the most interesting name out of the juices I've reviewed previously but the flavor says more than the name could ever say.

This juice was in my first package from Rawr based on a recommendation from my vaping mentor, Summer Dawn. I tried it with a little menthol which is really quite refreshing. I'm almost out of this one so I'm rationing the last few drops I have let in my bottle. The flavor itself is wonderful; it doesn't taste chemically like some other apple flavorings I've tried. It has a strong strawberry hit on the inhale with a tart/sweet after taste of green apple. The menthol really adds a nice touch but I wouldn't over do it, let the original flavors power through. This one is very satisfying at almost any voltage. I use LR dual coil atty's on my eGo and 3.0ohm cartos in the tank on my ProVari. If I ever find myself getting into a flavor rut, I pop this in an atty or tank and it's a welcomed change of pace. Strapple boasts plenty of silky vapor and a smooth throat hit that doesn't kick your butt. When this bottle is finally finished, I will absolutely be repurchasing this one!

Sweet strawberries and a little kick of sour green apple? What's not to like? Give this one a try!

My Vaping Experience (So Far)

Hello fellow vapers and faithful blog readers. Today I'm writing a very personal post about my life up to this point, experiences with smoking and transition into vaping. It all began when I was a child, growing up in Massachusetts, it was the end of the era of 'smoking sections' in restaurants and bars that allow smoking. Every time we would go out to eat, my parents would comment "Gross, smells like someone is smoking." Truth be told, I enjoyed the smell, when we went to the fair, I would always smell people smoking cigarettes and cigars and I would love the aroma but my parents always called it 'gross' and 'disgusting.' I never told them I enjoyed it for fear of the repercussions. My parents never smoked, my grandparents never smoked, only a couple people in my family smoked, I was an outcast.

During high school, my friends started smoking cigarettes (among other things) and I stayed away from them for a while. Some of their parents smoked and they weren't ostracized for it, I never thought I'd ever be a smoker. After more and more friends tried cigarettes, I was curious. I bummed one off a friend and I couldn't inhale right, coughed like hell and felt woozy. Didn't think I would ever try it again but I felt like part of the gang by doing it. A rebellious girl at my bus stop was a smoker so I bummed them off of her almost every day and finished it by the time I got to the end of my street. After a while, I was looking for people to buy them for me, only being 17 at the time. I was ashamed of my newfound habit since no one in my family smoked and I didn't want people thinking my parents raised me wrong. I'd go to friends houses to smoke or on long walks around the block. Masking the odor with cologne or excuses that it was my friends doing it while I was in the room. I always thought I was getting away with it but in the back of my head I felt my parents knew the whole time. My 18th birthday came along and I was happy because now I could buy my own cigarettes and hide them in my vehicle. I hid the fact that I was a smoker from my family for years, I'm sure not many of them know I was a smoker to this day. After a while, cigarettes got to be very expensive, buying multiple packs a week so I started smoking the cheap ones. While cleaning out my car it wouldn't be rare to find 30 or more empty packs. I even rolled my own for a time in desperation and further tax increases on cigarettes.

After my 21st birthday, it only got worse. Every drink, I would go out for a smoke. Freezing cold, blazing heat, didn't matter, just needed to get my nicotine fix. Morning's after a night of drinking were the worst; chest pains, struggling to catch my breath, wheezing. This continued for a few years before cigarette prices were close to reaching $8 a pack. I was broke working a crap job and I had enough. A co-worker had recently purchased a gas station e-cig and I decided to give one a try. I had to buy the regular tobacco cartridges because they were out of menthol. I didn't like the taste very much and they made me wheeze more than cigarettes. I found myself still going out for smoke breaks until I eventually lost the stupid thing. Continued smoking for a few more months until my girlfriend at the time decided she needed to quit smoking (which basically means I had to quit too or I wouldn't hear the end of it!) She had used an e-cig previously and had given it up for analogs (regular cigarettes) as well but when times got tough, the e-cig was the only option. I didn't bother with the gas station versions this time, instead I chose a simple 510 battery with a drip tip and menthol liquid. For the first time, I was happy without needing to smoke!

It didn't take long for me to start having problems after only a few weeks of vaping. Batteries broke, charging packs broke, dealing with vendors and their ticket systems was a hassle, shipping time and crappy juices. I toughed it out and started getting better supplies and starting my vaping adventure. That was about 7 months ago. Here I am in my 10th month of vaping and I've got over 100 bottles of liquid, a bunch of mods, devices and batteries. I have companies wanting me to review their products and vendors sending me liquid to review. I don't ever want to touch a cigarette again in my life, even my parents approve (somewhat) of my vaping and are proud that I got off the real things.

I just wanted to share my story, I hope you enjoyed reading it and learned a little bit about my history of smoking and struggles to get off tobacco for good. Always remember, an informed vaper is a happy vaper! Thanks for reading.

Juice of the Week- Hadouken

Once again, I was captivated simply by the name of this liquid. Luckily I wasn't duped because this has become one of my favorite flavors from FuZion. This has my favorite two things about e-juice; fruit and menthol. I've been told by the owner of FuZion himself that he doesn't particularly fancy this flavor but it was requested so he made and it and it has become very popular. I wasn't even through my first 15ml before I had to have a 30ml of it!

copyright FuZion Vapor

The fair is in town and I decided to be a bit more inconspicuous about my public vaping and brought along my eGo twist and a dual coil tank. I got a few strange looks but I think people are starting to understand what electronic cigarettes are and don't assume they're actually smoking plus I saw a few other people with them there! Anyways, I was vaping Hadouken all night which ended up being a great compliment to all the greasy food I was eating, kind of like drinking a cold soda after every morsel (without paying $4 for a can of soda!) I enjoy this at a slightly lower voltage to really bring out the coolness of the menthol and make it feel more like an ice cold beverage. FuZion's base mix is 65/35 PG/VG and even though I'm vaping it at 6mg of nic, it has a nice smooth throat hit. This juice is very sweet and a bit tart with a heavy dose of flavor and vapor. It has a great viscosity that will work well in a punched carto tank, regular carto/atty, or even a wick tank like the Vivi Nova or Vision Clearomizer.

Enjoy this after dinner for a palette cleanser or all day like I do!

Juice of the Week- Vanilla Mint

It's just about that time of year again, where we pack in the shorts and break out the sweaters and blankets. Now, I'm not sure about all of you but I'm the type of person that enjoys the smells and tastes of the changing seasons. That being said, I've been vaping a lot of natural flavors lately, which is great because I love expanding my horizons. This was one from the wonderful Summer Dawn, who sent me a care package earlier this year. This juice comes from Blue Mist Vaping Liquid which is a decent juice company, I've found a few random juices from them that I really enjoy and a few duds as well but that's the adventure of vaping!

Copyright Blue Mist Vapor
I was nearly out of juice, didn't have any money and on the brink of buying another pack of cigarettes in my first few weeks of vaping, when one of my instagram photos attracted the attention of Summer Dawn. I told her my predicament and she kindly sent me about 20 juices to try! I was overjoyed and this juice was among those to try, even though I was never a huge fan of natural flavor juices, I love mint and menthol flavors so I gave this one a shot and boy am I glad I did! This juice came to me at 100% VG in 8mg nic and extra flavor. The vanilla part of this juice is a little over powered by the mint part but thats fine by me, I prefer the minty-ness anyway. This is a lovely after dinner vape, refreshing to the palette, almost a dessert in-and-of itself. Very nice at any voltage, I myself used to vape this in my old Volcano Magma e-cigs. At $5 for a 10ml bottle, Blue Mist is also easy on the wallet.

If you're looking for a nice sweet minty vanilla for an occasional vape, this juice is for you

Juice of the Week- PG Hype

I ordered from Alien Visions during their mega 30% off moving sale but to my dismay, they were out of Boba's Bounty AND Gorilla Juice; the two tobacco flavors I was actually looking forward to trying! Nevertheless, I felt like seeing what all the hype (that's the only time I'll use that joke I swear) was about, so I ordered anyways. Upon arrival, I sampled every flavor as per usual and one stood out among them. You guessed it, a juice simply named hype. So here's my take after vaping a couple tanks of it.

Copyright AVE Juice

If you aren't familiar with Alien Visions, they are a small company but have a huge reputation in the vaping community on ECF etc. known especially for their unique tobacco flavors, Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice. Since they were out of those two upon my time to order, I decided to try a smattering of other flavors across the gamut. Most of the juices were lighter in hue except the maple syrup which was darker than a pint of stout, and hype. As you all know by now, my love for unique juice names runs deep and I was enticed by the fruity scent and orange color. Upon my first puff of this sweet nectar of the Gods, I almost began to weep….ok I'm being overly dramatic but it is a really good flavor. I can't quite put my finger on what it tastes like exactly but there's a splash of melon and perhaps mango in it, very tropical. I enjoy this one at a slightly higher voltage, around 4.6-5.5v because it just seems to get more of a kick up there.

Try hype while closing your eyes and imagining a sunset over the ocean on a beach in Maui

Mod Review- AltSmoke Silver Bullet

After a lot of research and annoying all of my vape friends with tons of questions, I ended up purchasing  the Silver Bullet from AltSmoke as my first big battery mod. I wanted a mod because after using regular 510 e-cigs and eGo batteries, I was still left wanting more power and battery life. I wanted something simple but very rugged and when I read some of the reviews on the SB I was convinced that would be a great first mod for me. One of the cool things about AltSmoke is they have a "starter kit" for the SB where you add the accessories you need. I purchased it with 2 batteries and a Trust Fire charger which came to around $136.

After receiving my SB, I was in love with the longevity of the battery life as well as the great build quality. A single 18650 3100mah battery can last me almost 2 days! The entire mod is made of aircraft grade aluminum as well as the button so it is very strong. I take it to work with me and it gets plenty of abuse being tossed around constantly but has yet to malfunction. I purchased a pyrex tank from Phiniac a few weeks after getting the SB to further increase the functionality of it and let me just say, not only does it look fantastic on the SB but it makes it a work horse. Vaping for days on a single tank/battery is wonderful!

So far, I've never had any major problems with it and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. One thing you should be aware of is that it's very heavy, comparable to the ProVari in weight. Not necessarily uncomfortable but it comes as a bit of a shock compared to an eGo or smaller e-cig. I would also highly recommend getting a tube Noalox anti-oxidant compound to use on the threads to prevent corrosion and seizing.

The button on the SB is recessed to prevent accidental firing of the device which is a great feature because I carry my PV's around in my pocket and I've burnt out a few atty's having them go off unexpectedly. The button itself is spring loaded and has a decent resistance. There are many colors to choose from and they're all pretty cool but you need to baby this thing in order to keep your paint looking nice. I bought the black version and after about 6 months of abuse, there are a ton of scratches on it. I'm not saying the paint is bad in any way, just that it can scratch easily.

This device functions great, looks great and is built to last!

Juice of the Week- Dragon's Delight

This weeks JotW comes to us from ECBlends. This one came to me as a free gift with my purchase in a 50/50 PG/VG mix and 0mg nicotine. I was a little bummed at the lack of nic but it definitely wasn't a total loss as I'll explain later. The package they sent me was huge; much larger than the usual small bubble mailer or small flat rate boxes I usually see from purchasing 4 or 5 juices. Included with my order was about a dozen "menus" listing almost all their flavors. Also there was a "friend tip" sterile tip for letting your friends try your juice without letting them slobber all over your drip tip. I like getting free stuff (duh, who doesn't?!) it shows the company cares about keeping their customers. Onto the real reason you're here!

Me, moments after recieving my package from EC: "Meh, it's ok I guess…"
Me, after letting this juice steep for over 2 weeks: "Holy $#!*, this stuff is great!!"
EC is famous for their "Dragon" series juices which is with complete merit. As you may know by now, I am a huge fan of anything peach flavored and this one has a great peach/pear and cream base. You can easily identify every component that makes this juice truly wonderful. However lovely this vape is, patience is a virtue and I highly recommend you steep all juices from EC for at least 2 weeks in order to really bring out the flavor. I'm not sure what it is about them but the only way to make their juice brag worthy is letting it sit for a while. When I first got these juices in, they were all clear/pale yellow and now they have become darker hues of red and yellow. A friend who swears by EC lets them sit for nearly a month and they become a dark red/brown and have intense flavor. I'd say these cream based juices should be vaped at lower voltages to avoid a hot vape sensation which could throw off the nature of the peaches and cream vape.

Definitely one of the best Dragon mixes I've had to date!

Juice of the Week- Peach Sweet Tea

I was introduced to Copper Creek, maker of the current Juice of the Week, by a fellow vaper from half way across the country. Summer Dawn of ECF sent me a package back in the day which really kick started my vape life. Before her influence, I only knew of maybe 3 places to get juice from and all of which kinda sucked. Aside from the generous care package, she's also helped me out of many jams when it comes to vaping questions and honest answers I needed. Stop by her YouTube page and check out some of her videos and follow her on instagram: @2morrowland For your viewing pleasure, here is her review of Copper Creek. Enjoy!

Onto this weeks review! What could possibly be more refreshing on a hot summer day than a nice tall glass of ice cold peach iced tea? How about that same flavor in a vape?! Copper Creek allows you to add a flavor shot of fruit to their sweet tea juice to further maximize your vaping enjoyment. I was surprised and intrigued to learn that they put their delectable juices in glass bottles with glass dropper tops. It not only makes filling my tank a little easier but they also look really cool.

Enough about the packaging though, I dripped a couple drops into my atty and fired it up awaiting my forthcoming disappointment of a bland chemically tasting peach flavor of yesteryear...but I was wrong! I could easily identify both the peach flavor AND the tea flavor, both tasting very natural and sweet. One of my favorite beverages is peach iced tea (AriZona iced tea FTW!) and Copper Creek's flavor did not disappoint at all. Not too sweet, not too peachy, no overpowering tea flavor.

A great afternoon vape or all day if you prefer. Personally, I just filled up a tank and I've been vaping it for the past few hours at 5.5v on the V-tube/3ohm carto with plenty of vapor and flavor. I will definitely be trying out more of what Copper Creek has to offer.

**UPDATE 8/30/12: Sweet Tea is now BACK IN STOCK!!**

Juice of the Week- Rip Tide

This weeks juice comes from Pink Spot Vapors in the one and only Sin City, that's right, Vegas! Pink Spot was definitely on my list of vendors to try so I quickly browsed the site and picked up the first 5 that really caught my eye. As you may know, I love quirky juice names and PS has a whole slew of "____ spot" juices including pink spot, blu spot and g-spot (insert lame pun here.) This weeks juice had promises of blue raspberry and strawberry with menthol so it was a win win for me. PS is a little bit pricey but once you've tried their juice, you know your purchase was not a gamble.

I hate to admit it but I'm a sucker for a juice that has a similar color to it's name or content. This juice happens to be a lovely shade of blue which tantalizes the eyes as well as the taste buds. I can definitely get a strong blue raspberry flavor which seems to overpower. The light hit of menthol is a nice touch and even more would be up to par in my book. One thing that perplexes me about PS is that they don't tell you the base mix of their juice which I'm not too upset with. Sometimes, I feel as though people can over complicate their juice purchase and ratings based on PG/VG content. Whatever it may be, they're doing it right; this juice has tons of flavor and vapor to spare. Throat hit is a little light which is to be expected with my preferred mix so I can't complain. So far I see a common theme in PS juice, they all taste a little bit chemically. It's not overbearing in any sense but it is noticeable to the trained palette. I've been vaping almost everything at 5.5v on the ProVari using a 2.5ohm dual coil cartomizer which seems to be a good spot. All in all, this juice is a very good blue raspberry flavor with menthol and seeing as how I have nothing to compare it to at the moment (letting my EC Blends TKO steep for a few weeks before properly comparing.)

It takes the cake in the flavor category, only losing points for lack of other flavor presence.

Double Review- Apollo V-Tube & SmokTek 4XL Cartomizer

Hello all, today I'm bringing you a quick review of the Apollo V-Tube variable voltage mod as well as a first look at the SmokTek 4XL cartomizer. We have a lot of stuff to cover so let's begin!

copyright Apollo E-Cigs
I saw this knock off lavatube for 1/2 the cost of the original and decided to give it a try. I ordered this mod from www.apolloecigs.com for $46 (device only [or so I thought]) When I received it, instead of being just the tube, they sent me the whole kit including a battery, charger, drip tip, 3ohm atomizer and a case which was a happy accident in my favor.

The atty was ok at best. It leaked like crazy and didn't last very long but hey, who can argue with free? As for the drip tip, just a cheap clear one you get with a dual coil tank, no big deal. The case is nice as it's simply a rebranded Joytech case, only problem being it doesn't fit the device with anything attached atop it. The battery/charger are decent, the charger is a single charger with a spring to secure it in place and a protected 18650.

Functionality of the device has been superb. It can handle all sorts of atty/carto resistances which is convenient. I've taken it to work with me and it can definitely handle some abuse. It has a drip catcher which helped greatly with the flooding atomizer and seats a J, MAP or Phiniac tank easily. You can ramp the voltage from 3.0-6.0v in .1v increments and check the battery level with 7 clicks of the power button. The 18650 battery last a while, I'm an average vaper and I can get about a day and a half with a full charge. When the battery drops below 3.5v, it starts to lose some power and when it gets to 3.2 the LED blinks and it shuts itself off. It also has an auto shut off feature in case it goes off in your pocket.

That's the good news...read the next paragraph before rushing to order.

Upon arrival, mine had a vertical scratch on the big button of which I was not happy with. After a few weeks of use, the paint is starting to rub off the battery cover and big button. I'm not sure why the entire device isn't entirely aluminum, probably to save money. Also, today I noticed the battery cover doesn't sit perfectly flush to the main part of the tube where you can see the threads which leads to believe this might eventually cause corrosion or other problems down the road. The smaller buttons rattle back and forth freely which is ugly and makes the device seem cheaply built. Last complaint I have is that the threads are very crunchy which can be helped by putting on some aluminum lubricant but I was still slightly disappointed at this fact.

Bottom line: this is a well functioning device that has some aesthetic and design flaws.

Juice of the Week- XTC

They say the letter X stimulates the brain in curious ways. I'm not sure if that's true but this juice certainly does. Coming from one of my favorite vendors, FuZion Vapor, this juice is by far an all day vape (ADV) for me. A strong hit of berries followed by a nice sweet cream all "infuzed" with a ton of vitamin B12. When I received my first 6ml bottle of this, I vaped it all day straight until it was gone and then reordered a 30ml!

When I vape this juice, it makes me want to dance around like a maniac with glow sticks and stay up all night. (results may vary) Probably one of the sweetest juices in my collection with a very strong flavor. I love vaping this one at high voltage, usually 5.5v with a 2.5ohm cartomizer on my ProVari or V-Tube. I'm sure it would be just as enjoyable on an eGo with a LR dual coil tank.

The disclaimer on the website says it all:
"For disclosure purposes, your personal vaporizer should NOT be used as a glow-stick and spun around.  However, feel free to fist pump to the beat and hug everyone you see."
This is a MUST vape if you enjoy a smooth sweet juice with a great throat hit and tons of flavor!

Vendor Review- Altsmoke.com

I heard about Altsmoke when I was looking to purchase my first mod. I was shopping around and came across the Silver Bullet which got great reviews which led me to buy it. In a few days I received it with everything I needed to get started and the overall experience was great.

They have a rewards system in place for every purchase or referral you earn points to use on future purchases. This has come in handy since I tell everyone about my e-cig whenever I'm out. I have recently found out they also do quantity discount for bulk cartomizers which is nice because I usually order mine 10 boxes at a time.

Their starter kits are perfect for first time e-cig purchasers or someone looking for a little more power. Prices at Altsmoke are very fair and when you add in the 5% coupon code that never expires (ALTSMOKE05) every little bit helps. Shipping is fast and cheap, I usually get my packages a day before I expect them to arrive which is always nice.

Customer service is excellent, if I have a question about information that's not listed on the site, I email them and I get a very quick response. Product selection is ample with top brands like Boge, Joytech, Trustfire and more.  If you are planning on purchasing from Altsmoke, make sure you tell them I sent you there!

So far, I have yet to have a bad shopping experience with them and I look forward to many more to come.
